- Check according to turbine model and code – does it fit your car;
- Check and clean the engine intake and exhaust systems, pipelines and cooler (intercooler). They must be clean and free of oil, gasket debris, dust, scale, soot or foreign objects (nuts, metal particles, rags, etc.).
- Check and wash the engine crankcase ventilation system. The engine crankcase, while working must not lead to pressure.
- Thoroughly wash or clean up the oil supply and return pipes and remove gasket debris. Any dirt or foreign objects going into a supply pipe can immediately damage the turbocharger.
- Change the oil and air filters according to the engine manufacturer’s instructions. Turbo diseals minimum grade of oil must be API CD .
- Check if the turbocharger oil supply and drain hole is clean this will ensure that seating surfaces is not damaged and leaks will not be under pressure.
- Anchore turbocharger to the exhaust manifold flange, paying attention to the connection for leaks. Ceramic and silicone sealant is prohibited.
- Check the exhaust system and muffler so it does not overload the turbocharger for occlusion, open the valves, pipes and other reduced particles.
- Connect the exhaust pipe to the turbine exhaust. Check the connection tightness and reliability.
- Check exhaust system for leaks, pipes, fasteners, fastening flanges.
- Pour clean engine oil into the turbocharger oil supply hole and turn the roller by hand until the oil starts to flow from the drain opening.
- Connect the air intake and outlet nozzles- tighten the screws. Check connections for tightness and reliability.
- Connect the oil supply pipe to the turbocharger and check that the connection is clean, high quality and reliable.
- Do not use liquid substance ( silicones, sealants, etc.) that can pass into the turbocharger lubrication channels and rubber seals.
- Rotate the engine starter, not allowing it to start running until the engine oil will begin to flow from the drain hole of the turbocharger
- Check throughly the oil drain pipe flow rate (must be clean and free of creases, the inner diameter of 12 mm min – min for cars and 18 mm – for freight cars). Connect the drain pipe , make sure the security of joints and seal integrity.
- Check whether the power of the engine and ignition system is properly adjusted.
- Start the engine idling.
- Check the oil pressure at the inlet of the turbocharger . Operating mode 2 … 5 bar , idling at least 1.5 bar.
- Increase the speed and check for oil, air, gas, coolant leaks.
- Check if the tubes and joints deform during operation.
- Before extinguishing the engine allow counterfeit idle for 1 minute.
- Observe the following rules while operating:
- Only start the engine idly (do not accelerate).
- Before putting out the hot engine, allow 1-2 minutes counterfeit idle to cool turbocharger.
- If the engine has just been renovated, the first fleet of 200-250 km, it is necessary to change the oil filter.
Warranty does not apply to failed turbochargers for the following reasons:
- Mechanical dust particles from entering air piping or motor.
- Insufficient lubrication, oil pressure, poor oil quality.
- Mechanical impurities in the oil.
- The shaft speed and temperature overshoot – bad power supply and ignition control systems, blocked air filter or barrier to pull the uncontrolled air to increase the engine speed.
- If the client him/herself tried to dissemble/fix the turbocharger lubrication and if disabling it by violating mechanical parts.
